Cymene
Para-cymene is a transparent, liquid terpene with a benign, sweet aroma that has hints of citrus. This monoterpene is commonly found in Thyme, Cumin, and many different types of wood.
Uses
Akin to the other citrus-tasting terpenes, p-cymene is often used as a flavoring additive. Para-cymene is added to cake mixes, drinks, and confections to give them a sweet and citrusy taste. Para-Cymene is also used in fragrances, cleaning supplies, bath products, and other cosmetics, due to its delicate, orange aroma.
